Communication Committee

The Communication Committee spreads the word about community gardens and North Carolina Community Garden Partners.

We establish and strengthen connections between NCCGP and partner organizations, and create a vibrant, exciting online place for partners and members to interact with NCCGP and each other. We accomplish this by maintaining a well-functioning website, managing the NC Garden Directory, publishing an email newsletter (The Garden Beet), and creating a lively social media presence.

We also help share reliable experience-based information on community gardening best practices in a clear and useable way, whether it’s via smart phones and computers or old fashioned information sheets. One of our main projects each year is helping to publicize our annual statewide community gardening conference.

We also do all we can to share remarkable stories about community gardens and their impacts on gardeners and communities, using text, photos and videos.
