Event Committee

The Event Committee is charged with:

  • Organizing the Annual NCCGP Conference
  • Organizing workshops (ex. ACGA’s Growing Communities), conferences or other networking events across North Carolina.
  • Working with other organizations to add-on pre/post conference sessions about community gardening on to currently planned conferences.
  • Holding strategic sessions with entities such as Cooperative Extension, Parks and Recreation, and the Department of Public Health.
  • Educating partners using the media and other online based applications.
  • Bringing new creative program ideas to the board such as statewide/regional community garden tours or the creation of educational hub gardens.
