CURRITUCK, DARE, AND PASQUOTANK GARDENING WORKSHOP
Join the Currituck, Dare, and Pasquotank Extension Master Gardener Volunteers on Saturday, June 20th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a free workshop designed to help people interested in community or home gardening gain the skills they need to make their gardens a success. The workshop will be held at NC Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center, 120 Community Way in Barco. This is the blue roofed building to the right of the Barco YMCA.
This program is hosted by the Extension Master Gardener program with a supporting grant from the North Carolina Community Gardener Partners.
Everyone is welcome free of charge. All materials and a lunch will be provided. Lunch will only be available for participants who preregister before June 17, 2015.
The workshop will be taught by a panel of experts. Panel members include Currituck, Dare, and Pasquotank County Extension agents and technicians, county Extension Master Gardener Volunteers and local garden experts.
Planned topics include irrigation and water conservation, composting methods, identification and control of fire ants, local vegetable gardening, labor saving techniques for the garden, NC Community Gardener Partners/Local Foods Council, home fruit production, foods around us.
