A garden developed to accomodate varying ability levels while encouraging community inclusion, with an emphasis on encouraging the nutritional and health benefits of growing and consuming fresh produce while increasing physical activity through gardening. It currently consists of 13 raised beds along with 2 garden tables which are accessible to those using wheelchairs. It is also meant to be a place of beauty, serenity and pleasant social discourse, open to the public. We welcome anyone who would like to become a volunteer to share their interests and skills to assist the participants who attend the Monarch Health Drive day program, wwhich supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilites; as well as other community members to learn more about the important aspects of gardening and socialization.
