The Making Pitt Fit Community garden provides residents the opportunity to maintain a healthy lifestyle by increasing their levels of physical activity and their consumption of fruits and vegetables through gardening activities. A portion of the garden is allocated for a children’s gardening program. Surplus food from the children’s garden is donated to a local food bank.
