The Garden of Concord

The Garden of Concord, is an extension ministry of Concord UMC, dedicated to feeding the hungry in our community through the sharing
of its harvests.  Established in 2009, the garden has grown to over 50 member families, 1/2 acre of all organic plantings to include 40 raised beds of seasonal vegetables, blueberry bushes, grapevines, cut flower gardens, a shade house, children’s garden and play area, workshops, celebration meal gatherings, a brick pizza oven, and “Kidz Thyme”!  Only $10 per season to join or $25 for all three (spring, summer, fall).  Work one hour per week for a share of the day’s harvest (Tues/Thurs 5:30-7:30, Saturdays 9-noon).  No experience or tools required!  Contact Donna Poe (336 512-7434) for more info or check us out on Facebook and our blog:  Come grow with us!  It WILL be good!
