The Lord’s Acre knows that growing and distributing food to those in need provides relief but it’s not a solution to hunger. To that end, we also provide education on many topics related to our work and seek to build community as the way to address hunger’s root causes. We donate an average of 10.5 tons of fresh, organic produce each year to Food For Fairview pantry, Green Opportunities, Bounty & Soul, our own Share Market and the Fairview Welcome Table.
Our programs include: Summer SPROUTS for young children, full and partial season internships including a 12-week academic study, classes at our Share Market, group and individual volunteer opportunities, and more. Our motto is:
There are many types of hunger.
Everyone is hungry for something.
Everyone has something to give.
